Aircraft Rescue and Fire
Fighting (ARFF) Training
By Tony Rudy, Assistant Airport Manager
............
As part of their continuous training curriculum,
Airport Fire Fighter Operations Technicians had the
first of several "live burns" for the year on 15 Mayq
2000. The burn was conducted at an ingeniously
developed simulator located at the Tompkins County . ",
Airport. The FAA requires airport fire fighters to °
participate in at least one live fire drill each year as ; ' ` \ ° '° ,,
part of the approved training program. _ . :,
